Christmas 2013

We had a wonderful Christmas with the exception of everyone having the Influenza virus.  Alexis was really blessed not to have it.  God really blessed us to get over it.  We had a candlelight Christmas Eve dinner.  We had ham, potatoes, green beans, and Martinelli's Cider.  It was the first Christmas Eve dinner we've had as our own little Family, alone.
"The children were nestled all snug on the couch, while visions of sugar plums danced through their heads."     For Christmas decor, I made red and white striped stockings with a pillow to match as a set for our front living room.  We did our tree in lots of red.  I bought red beads to drape over the branches.  We made cinnamon ornaments and hung red bows and candy canes on the tree.
James did something really special this year.  He gave each Family member a poem that we read at the beginning of our Christmas.  We were really touched by his poetry.
